My PHOTOREPORT from the world’s most prestige home design exhibition
There are few “jaw-dropping” design events to see.. and Salone Internazionale del Mobile / Milan International Design Fair is definitely one of them.. It is also known as world’s premier showcase for the crème de la crème of the international furniture industry.
So, I decided to go..
I have never been there before – this year it was my first and now I know that for sure not last visit. Honestly, at the end of this weekend I was sooo exhausted after absorbing so many designs, new products, technologies, shapes, color combination, BUT at the same time I felt so inspired, motivated and enthusiastic as never before.
I clearly remember and have to smile now, when I first stepped into the first hall (I started with no. 5), I was so impressed by its size, exhibitors, beauty and perfection in details.. that I started almost to run, touch everything and taking photos without any system or plan .. like a crazy :D. I think it was very similar feeling that have children visiting Disneyland for the first time.

Starting with bedrooms:
.. and kidsroom furniture
I am sure you have heard about the most healthiest beds in the world – Hästens.. handmade using strictly natural materials.. I think they had the best showroom presentation among all exhibitors this year. Whole interior was covered in forest wallpaper, real size trees, beds arrangement aaaaand forest nature sound relaxation effects. Amazing!
And this was part of Milan design week through my eyes..
